Account creation not possible
-
I want to create an account for a specific email address which was never used on wordpress.com, but I cannot create a new account as I get this error message: “We couldn’t create your account with this email. Please try a different email, or contact support if the problem persists.”
And when trying to log in with this account, I get this error message: “I’m sorry, but we weren’t able to find a user with that login information.”
Please contact me privately to solve this issue.

Post the email address you want to use in this forum; it gets obfuscated and only a Staff member can see it.

Common reasons for the error:
- The email is already registered: You (or someone else) have already used this email address to create another WordPress.com account or a legacy Gravatar account in the past.
- The 30-day recycling period: If the email was previously tied to an account and you recently changed or deleted it, WordPress.com locks it from being reused for 30 days to prevent impersonation.
-
Can you please check if this email was ever used for an account? And when and why because I cannot find anything about it from the inbox of (email visible only to moderators and staff) related to wordpress.com.

You just have to wait untille a Staff member pops up as they are the only one who can see your email address

Hi @brita59f5391ea3!
I see you have a related support ticket open. We’ll be in touch via that ticket. -
Hi,That does sound unusual. Since this involves a specific email address, we won’t be able to troubleshoot it in a public forum.Could you please contact support through the account recovery/contact form and provide the email address that’s affected? A member of the team can then investigate whether the address is already associated with an account or if there’s another issue preventing registration.Thank you.
