Account Deletion

    Hi WordPress!
    I am trying to delete my account entirely. I’ve deleted my blogs, but I still can’t seem to delete my profile.

    Do you need to unsubscribe from emails you’re receiving, or do you want to remove your account?

    You can block all WordPress.com email by checking the box next to “Block Emails” in your email delivery settings. There’s a link at the bottom of each subscription email, or you can log in and update your settings here:
    http://wordpress.com/#!/read/subsettings/

    If you wanted to get rid of the account, please understand that your username can’t be deleted. It can only be deactivated: basically we can remove you from the account and change the password. Or you can do that on your own with a throwaway address. You would not be able to use the name again later.

    Or, you can simply leave the account inactive until you’d like to use it again for any of our services.
