Account Deletion

    I canceled my plan and am expecting a refund. If I delete the account now, will the refund still go through? Or, should I wait for the refund to hit my account to make sure there are no hiccups?

    Hi there,

    Your refund has already been processed. If you view the refund receipt we sent you via email (also visible at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/), you’ll see a transaction ID from our payment processor there, which means the refund has already been completed on their end.

    From here it’s up to your bank/credit card company to finish processing it on their end. This typically takes around ten business days, but closing your WordPress.com account won’t have any effect on that process.

    Once you close your account you won’t be able to post here or otherwise contact support any more, but you can always reply to the refund receipt email or the account closure confirmation email we’ll send you if necessary.
