  I’ve been several emails alerting me to other persons logging on to my account.

  I have been getting several emails daily. Here are some just from today.

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Username: AveryCOBridgeport

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)”

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Username: SamanthaARArlington

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)”

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Username: AlexaOKGlendale

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)”

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Username: OliverSCGlendale

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)”

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Username: AlexaAZHouston

  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)”

  “New user registration on your site Innovative Millworks, Inc.:

  Hmm, is that regarding this account? Can you tell us a little more about the email, like the subject line or who it was from?

  Are the emails trying to get you to click a link? If so I’d be careful about clicking it.

  Hi there,

  Your comment mentioning the emails was in our spam filters.

  Those emails are not from WordPress.com, but are coming from a self-hosted WordPress site at another hosting provider.

  These are notifications for guest-account registrations on a stand-alone WordPress site, and if you’re getting these for your site, it means you have guest registrations enabled under Settings ->General in the dashboard. Go to that settings page and disable that option, and people won’t be able to sign up for accounts on your site any more.
