Some how my account is saying I did not purchase a website when I already did. Please call me [redacted]

  • Hi there,

What is the address of the site you are referring to? I do not see any attempts of a purchase from your account? What plan/upgrade were you attempting to purchase?

Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com-hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to provide direct assistance because we do not have direct access to any site hosted outside of WordPress.com. You’ll want to seek assistance in the dotorg forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    Thanks!

  • The purchases belong to a different WordPress.com account here, not the one you’re currently logged in to.

    You’ll need to:

    1. Log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me

    2. Log back in under the first email address you quoted in your above reply.

If you do not recall the password for that account, we have options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

As for the email, we only allow only one account per email address. Since the desired email address is already in use on the account you’re currently logged in to, you’ll need a third email address that you can change this account to so you can release the email address for use on the other account.

Have you thought about using a gmail alias for that? Instead of using this:

    yourrealemail (at) gmail (dot) com

    Use this:

    yourrealemail+otheraccount (at) gmail (dot) com

You can make that +1, +whatever, +doesnotmatter … whatever letters or numbers make the most sense to you. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect another email account that delivers to the same address.
