Account recovery

I’m a little annoyed that I can’t ask this question privately. Or if I can I can’t find how to go about doing it.
There’s nothing wrong with this account. I have another account tied to an email that no longer exists. I need help recovering that account.

To clarify, the account I’m asking about was tied to a domain I still own and hosted by a service I no longer pay for. I accessed WordPress through the hosting service and so now can’t log in with that username. The email that I assume is tied to the username also doesn’t exist anymore as it was provided through the hosting service.

Details such as domain address would help but if the account wasn’t actually here at WordPress.com and the unnamed site was never on WordPress.com servers then this won’t be the right place to ask for help. If you let payment lapse at some other host then I guess site/account etc are gone.
