    I have long since lost access to the site and the associated email address, and I would like to ask for the website to be taken down. I can prove ownership, but not through the automated means under account recovery.

    Hi there!

    We generally ask that you go through the account recovery form to submit proof of account ownership. Can you tell us what happens when you try going through the account recovery form? Are you seeing any error messages? Also, which type of proof of account ownership do you have?

    Note that you can also directly email us at passwordhelp@wordpress.com with any proof of account ownership.

    If you have a transaction ID or something sensitive, please do not share it on this forum. You can email them at the email address above.
