Account setting from private to public

    I have recently changed my account setting from private to public along side making all my blog posts public, however nothing i type into google or bing is bringing up my wordpress account. Can you help

    Hello alexsimpsonworc,

    Setting a site to private discourages search engines. Now you’ve marked it as public, your content will be visible to the public and search engines.

    We automatically send notifications to Google when your site is updated but it can take 4-6 weeks for these changes to be reflected in search results. As the privacy setting was only change a few hours ago, I’d say it’s just a case of time.

    One thing you can do is notify Google that your site is ready to be indexed. Just paste the URL into the box on this page:

    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url
