Accounts and e-mail addresses

    I opened a word press account a year ago with a particular e-mail address. I’ve never published or written anything on this account. I want to join a writer’s group that uses a specific word press account, when they tried to attach a password to same particular e-mail address it won’t let me in?

    What site are you trying to join?

    If it’s a site hosted here on WordPress.com, and you already have a WordPress.com account, they need to invite you using your existing WordPress.com username.

    If it’s a site using the open source WordPress software at another host, we cannot help you here, as sites like those are not under our control, and your WordPress.com account has no connection whatsoever to any user accounts created on such a site.
