ad Videos

  There are advertising videos at the end of my post. I don’t mind an ad, but NOT a video! It looks like it is part of my post — I bought the theme, so my page isn’t really free…. can you get rid of the videos?

  To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements.

  The domain pays for just itself and the Custom Design upgrade pays for the font licensing, while the ads pay for the service costs (bandwidth, hardware, personnel, etc).

  Hi Macmanx, I do appreciate the help from WordPress, and I really loved my upgraded theme, but the ad videos look too much like I posted them. So I have to cancel my theme upgrade and leave WordPress to go to a self-hosting situation. Thanks for your assistance in helping me learn to blog.

  Sorry, I was on auto-pilot with that last response.

  Are you sure that you don’t want the $30/year No-Ads upgrade? I can pretty much guarantee you won’t find hosting for that cheap.

  If not, just let me know and I’ll cancel the Custom Design upgrade.

  Drat, I thought it was going to be about $60, and a friend told me it might be hard to move the site to a website later, so I canceled my theme upgrade already. I did buy my web domain thru you, and I’ll keep that — it won’t be a problem to use that domain name on a different site, will it? I bought adhelper.net. thanks for your help, cheri

  You are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide:

  After 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar by following this guide:
