Add a function transfer folder to another files or folder using the Bulk in medi

    Hello WordPress Support Team,

We would like to suggest adding a new option in the Media Library bulk actions dropdown that allows users to move selected media files directly to another folder.

Currently, the bulk dropdown includes actions like delete and AI-generated metadata options, but there is no bulk action available for transferring multiple files between folders. This feature would greatly improve media organization efficiency, especially for users managing large numbers of files across categorized folders.

    Suggested feature:
    <strong data-start=”542″ data-end=”575″>Bulk Action: “Move to Folder”

    • Select multiple media files

    • Choose “Move to Folder” from Bulk Actions

    • Select destination folder

    • Apply changes in one step

This enhancement would save time and make folder management much more convenient for administrators handling large media libraries.

Thank you for considering this improvement.

There are already several plugins that offers that functionality – https://wordpress.org/plugins/

Just to add to what @staartmees suggested

The WordPress.com Media Library does not have “folders”. All Media files are grouped by upload date by default. You’d already need a plugin to change that function.
