Add a site

I followed the directions to add a 2nd site to my account, but I don’t find an ‘add site’ option at the bottom of the side bar as indicated. Is that only available with a paid account?

No, it’s there for free accounts. Perhaps this is a bug/feature but you definitely have to be in the My Sites/Calypso dashboard to see that “Add new site” option bottom left. I’ve found that if you are in the wp-admin dashboard and click My Sites- Switch Site you don’t see it even though it looks like you are now in the Calypso dashboard. However if you click My Sites and then Plan or Pages or Posts to make sure you’re definitely in the new dashboard and then try My Sites-Switch Site once again you’ll see “Add new site”. PS: Remember, for a free plan, if you are offered your chosen site address but with umpteen numbers added to it, you don’t have to go with it. You may be able to reduce the numbers to a more manageable one or two. -
