Add categories to sidebar of shop page in woocommerce

  Hi,

  I am trying to add categories to sidebar of shop page in woocommerce. I tried adding it from the Shop Page->Insert sidebar Shortcode->Categories, but that doesn’t display the categories. I also tried following instructions as per this link but even that doesn’t make any difference:https://www.binarycarpenter.com/how-to-add-remove-sidebar-to-woocommerce-shop-page/
