Add DNS record for mad4mud.gr
-
I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain mad4mud.gr (as a step to map a domain name I have already registered to wordpress) but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?
Also, do I have to edit DNS for the specific domain? It is not hosted on any server right now.. so which pointers do I have to change to point to wordpress?
thanks for your help!

I added a new DNS Zone record for your domain. This change may take a little while to be fully effective. Could you give it some time then try updating the name servers again?
You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.

Hi again!
Thanx for your quick reply and adding the DNS Zone record for me.Just another question regarding DNS pointer change. According to instructions, I should:
“Update your domain’s name servers to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
You can usually change your domain’s name servers at your registrar’s website, but the process is different for each domain registrar. Instructions for popular registrars are available here— if your registrar isn’t listed, visit their website or contact their support team for assistance. When a new domain is purchased or when name servers are updated, it can take some time for the change to take full effect (up to 72 hours, but normally much less).”The fact is that I have only registered the NAME “mad4mud.gr” and not any server space to host my site (I hope to host it on wordpress, where I have bought the “mapping service”). Trying to DNS lookup “mad4mud.gr” I get SERVFAIL. Any suggestions? Have I misunderstood something?
Thank you in advance!

You don’t need to buy any server space, since your site is hosted on WordPress.com.
The domain mad4mud.gr currently gives a timeout error when doing a whois lookup. There may be a problem with your registrar’s database.
Please try logging into your registrar control panel and do the DNS update to point the name servers to WordPress.com.
