Add email to my domain/blog hosted on WordPress.com

  I don’t understand what happens when I add an email to domain that I already own (from GoDaddy) with my site hosted here at WordPress.com

  I see that it’s easy to do (Settings/Domain/Add email), but I’m not sure what is happening:

  1) I have 2 domains at GoDaddy and I’m sure you would only redirect the email for the site I’ve hosted on WP and not move my other sites’ email with a totally different name.
  2) What will the email user name be? Do I get to choose it or is it automatically (email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  3) Where do the emails go and how do I get them.

  Thanks for your help and love the WP site. Your hosting service saved my new business when my ISP got bought out and I lost access to my website.
