Add Embedded Videos

  How do I add a video via an ’embedded code’ to the blog.

  I’m having problems with videos from mtv and others.

  example:

  <embed src=”http://www.mtv.com/player/embed/wp/” width=”400″ height=”330″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” FlashVars=”CONFIG_URL=http://www.mtv.com/player/embed/wp/configuration.jhtml%3fvid%3D180470&allowFullScreen=true” allowFullScreen=”true” AllowScriptAccess=”never” base=”.”></embed>

  If I insert this code, it will be deleted by the editor forcing me to decline the use of that video?

  Can anyone help me here?
  I’m used to just copy and paste the code into the editor. And usually that worked fine. Why is this not working with wordpress?

  Embeds and shockwave flash can’t be used at wordpress.com for security reasons.

  Try using vodpod for that video, either with your vodpod widget or the vodpod ‘post to wordpress’ button.

  Use Vodpod. It’ll embed just about any video you run across.

  You can’t even embed flash audios… I liked wordpress… but now it turns out that it does really suck !!! Multimedia is essential for a 21st century blog… bummer…
