Add new domain to existing wordpress account

  Need help with understanding how to add a domain that was purchased with a domain provider and need to add the domain to my existing WordPress account.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi futurcblog,

  There are two options for using an existing domain on futurcblog.wordpress.com:

  1. Use domain mapping

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  The domain will remain registered with your current provider but domain mapping will create a connection to WordPress.com. The domain will need to renewed through your current provider each year.

  2. Transfer the domain to WordPress.com
  

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  With this option, the site and domain can be managed from one place. The domain will renew with WordPress.com your plan each year.
