  I am confused on how to add my own domain, currently hosted via Google Domains.

  Hi there,

  The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any sites. If you want to use the domain with a site on WordPress.com, make sure you are logged into the account that owns the site, or if you don’t have a site yet, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ to create one.

  If you want to use a domain you already own with Google, you’ll need to buy a paid plan, and then you can either connect the domain to your site here via our domain mapping upgrade, or you can transfer your domain registration to us so it’s managed with us instead of with Google.
