  Hi, I want to ad users myself as an admin, not invite new users.
  Do I have to get a premium upgrade? I cannot find it as an option on my free account.

  No, you have to invite users. Do you mean you want to create accounts that are then users of teh blog? Create all the accounts you want; you need a separate email for each. Then Invite them via email or username.
