adding a one-page website to my account

    I already have a website with WordPress.
    It has domain registration with NameCheap.

    I want to create a new website [one page format] for an unrelated business.
    I already have the domain name registered with Namecheap.
    Does my account with WordPress allow me to create this new, one-page website free of charge?
    How do I get started?

    Hi Paul,

    You can create a one-page site like that on WordPress.com, but to use your domain that you already own will require that you upgrade to one of our paid plans – custom domains cannot be used on free sites.

    To get started, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and just follow the steps.

    You can find all our themes specifically designed to be used as one-pagers here:

    You can set up any theme to have a static front page, though – themes in this list are specifically designed to show information from more than one page on that static front page.

    Your other option is to use the open source WordPress.org software directly with Namecheap – depending on your needs, they might have a hosting plan that’s cheaper, though there will still be some hosting cost involved.
