How do I put a slideshow on the homepage of my wordpress.com website? I am using a mac.

A normal slideshow can be inserted following these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/But somehow I think you might mean a “slider” which is a little different. Many WordPress.com themes support a slider on the front page of a site and you can find them here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/
