Adding a video to display on my website

Hello! I have a video (.MOV file) that I would like to have featured on my website, but I haven’t been able to sort out how to do so. Can this be done without paying for additional features or downloading plugins?

On WordPress.com, you can definitely feature a video without paying for a ‘VideoPress’ upgrade or installing plugins by using the YouTube or Vimeo embed method. Simply upload your .mov file to a free YouTube account (you can set it to ‘Unlisted’ so it doesn’t show up in public searches), copy the video link, and paste it directly into a Video Block on your page. WordPress will automatically turn that link into a sleek, functional player. This is actually the preferred method for many designers because it saves your site’s storage space and ensures the video loads quickly for your visitors, regardless of their internet speed!
