Adding and image to a Twitter post linked to my WordPress blog

  Hi

  I have a link between my WordPress blog and my Twitter account.

  I have been trying to work out how to add an image to my linked tweets in Twitter in the box to the left of the title / link at the bottom of my tweet.

  I have a free plan and am using the Independent Publisher 2 theme.

  Please can anybody help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You will need to add a featured image to your post in order for an image to display on your tweets. For instructions on adding a featured image, please view our support page here:

  This is not what I am trying to achieve. I want a picture to appear in Twitter in my Twitter post in the box to the left of the title / link in Twitter.

  I tried to attach a screen shot to this post to show you exactly what I mean, but I couldn’t attach a screen shot.

  Is it possible to attach a screen shot to this post / reply?

  Hi there,

  Are you looking to add your Twitter profile to your site’s sidebar? If that’s the case, then you can only add your latest tweets as such a feature is not implemented on WordPress.com.

  Hi

  This is not what I am looking to do.

  There seems to be some confusion here. I am talking about how my linked tweet in Twitter looks once I have posted something on my blog, not how Twitter looks on my WordPress blog itself.

  Is there anyway I can attach a screen shot to this post to show you what I mean?

  Got it! If you share your site to Twitter, but your site icon and title don’t appear in your tweets, you can enter your URL into Twitter’s validator tool:

  https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator

  that should make your tweets display correctly.
