adding another website to ‘my sites’

    Hi, I operate @magicofhealing
    I own have domain:
    darcylubbers.com
    its currently a redirect from a free google site, but i want to use wordpress.
    i use dreamhost too.
    how to i navigate all the moving parts?

    Hi there,

    If you want to use WordPress on your Dreamhost hosting, you’ll be using the open source software made over on WordPress.org. In that case your site won’t have anything to do with us on WordPress.com – we’re also a hosting provider, like Dreamhost.

    So in that case you’ll want to contact Dreamhost support for help getting WordPress installed on your server with them, and connecting your domain to the server.

    If instead you want to host your site with us, you can connect your existing domain to a site in your WordPress.com account using the domain mapping upgrade included in all our paid plans.

    In that case Dreamhost will have nothing to do with your site, so if you’re paying them for a hosting plan you’ll likely be able to cancel that.
