Adding Comment Visibility to Eighties Theme
-
Aloha from Hawaii. Would love to have a setting to show that comments can be made on or how many comments have been made from the home page, rather than readers having to click on the post to see them. Thank you! (Have tried everything and my geek son says I would need to edit the code to do this and can’t from the free version.)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see that you have changed to a different theme. If you should still wish to consider the Eighties theme, there is a simple solution to the issue you describe. In each post (or page) you may include a link to the comments. For example, the link to the comments on your 9 February post “The temp right now” is https://visitingtheboysabroad.wordpress.com/2015/02/09/the-temp-right-now/#comments. However, such a link works differently on the Editor theme which you are presently using than it does on the Eighties theme. On Editor the link brings you to the top of the comments section, whereas on the Eighties theme the link jumps over all the comments and lands at the “Leave a Reply” box.
