Adding HTML code in HTML block not working
-
Hello,
I am trying to embed HTML code from another webiste to my website.
This is the code I would like to embed:https://www.windfinder.com/widget/forecast/js/bull_island_dollymount?unit_wave=m&unit_rain=mm&unit_temperature=c&unit_wind=kts&days=1&show_day=1&show_pressure=0&show_waves=0&show_temperature=0&show_clouds=0&show_rain=0<noscript>Wind forecast for Bull Island / Dollymount provided by windfinder.com</noscript>
It is coming from the following website: https://www.windfinder.com/widget/configurator/bull_island_dollymount
When I paste this code into a HTML block in a page, it seems to work: when I click on “preview”, I see what it is intended to show.
However when I check on the actual website, it does not work and I just see a long url, like this: https://ibb.co/v17fqwFDo you know why is that?
Thanks
ThibautThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

iframes are not supported on WordPress.com for security reasons, so if you place the iframe on your page via the HTML block it won’t be displayed.
For more information on what code is and is not allowed, please see here:

Hi,
Just to add to what @raynesio wrote above – you would be able to embed this code on plan Business:
-
Hello, thanks.
So staff-mckluskey just to be sure: if I upgrade to plan Business then the html code will become available for this website?
I don’t see anything about that I am afraid in the article you shared… -
Hi, yes. Our plans do allow most HTML, just not JavaScript, embeds, iframes, and other options that can be a bit riskier for security. But we do allow it in the Business and eCommerce plans. It’s in the last paragraph on this page:
https://wordpress.com/support/code/Basically certain types of code can increase the effort we need to put into security and maintenance, so we allow it with higher plans. You’ll be able to use custom PHP and what not too, if needed.
And, this of course includes hosting and SSL, plus you’ll get direct chat-based support. You can find pricing here:
