Adding html to page [free account]

    Hi,
    I am trying to add a html-based countdown animation a friend coded for me on my wp-page.
    I am using a free account and cannot figure out if I am doing it wrong or just reached the limits of the free version.

    Basicly the countdown animation is a index.html-file. I tried to upload it which produced an error saying I was not allowed to for security reasons. Trying to copy the code itself to a custom-html-block did not work out. The code was just displayed not executed.

    Is there a workarround or can I be sure it will work when I upgrade to a payed plan?

    Not all HTML is permitted on a free WordPress.com site. I’m afraid you would need plan Business to be able to add this to your site:
