adding new users

  I want to add my website developer as a new user. When I click ‘invite’ I get this message: ‘Inviting users requires WordPress.com sign in’ but when I click ‘enable’ I get an error message. How do I add a new user so my website developer can work on the site?

  Try adding them as a new user from your WP-Admin dashboard and then share the login credentials with them. Here’s how to do that:

  Thank you for replying. I was able to register a new user but I/he still can’t log in with those credentials. What is the login URL? Does this let you log in directly with a password or does it only send a login link to your email?

  Just put /wp-admin/ at the end of your site’s address, and they’ll be able to see the login screen.

  If they still can’t log in, you can send them a password reset link from their user page (Users > click on username > Send Reset Link).
