Adding Posts to Pages and Homepage

I suspect this is a stupid newbie question, but I can’t figure it out. I would like to make New Posts that will go to a Page, and also to the Home Page. For example, on my site: http://bryansrunningjournal.wordpress.com/ I would like to post news stories to the News page, and running journal entries to the Running Journal page… and have the content from both aggregate on the Home Page.

Use categories: static pages don’t function that way. Categorize your posts properly and use the Category widget in the sidebar and people can click to find all your Journal entries under that Category, etc.
All posts always go to the home page; they also go to their dynamic Category “page” as well. That page is created on the fly when someone clicks on the link in the sidebar
