Adding “Recent Posts” to an external HTML page
-
Hey I am wondering if this is possible:
I have an external website (www.daveytextiles.com) and I would like to add a recent posts section on the main page that hopefully would update automatically. Basically just showing the llast 3-5 blog post titles and possibly the date they were posted on.
Any chance on this happening?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Assuming that you’re asking about adding recent posts from your WordPress.com blog to your external site, you’d have to ask whoever designed it for you.
For future assistance it would be useful to link your WordPress.com site to your username. You can do that in “My Account/Edit My Profile” in the gray Admin bar along the top of the page.

Hi the blog is daveytextiles.wordpress.com and the site is daveytextiles.com
I designed both. I know if we had a .org site there is a plug in that can do this, however, at this time management has decided on the blog as a trial thing.
I am wondering how this can be achieved or if it is even possible?

Yes, it’s possible but as it’s not really a WordPress.com issue, you’re unlikely to find solutions here other than “just link to the blog from the website.”

You might take a look at these two links which explain how to put an RSS feed into a standard website. I’ve used the procedure in the first on one occasion and it worked fine, but it does require a little understanding of PHP scripting (not much though).
