Adding Sidebar on a NON-posts page

    I would like to have a sidebar for a page that talks about past programs/events my company has had. It seems it is not possible to add a sidebar to a page that does not have posts. To remedy this I will change the page so that it has posts instead, but I don’t want to change this new page as the ‘posts page.’ We have a blog page that is meant for posts. Is it possible to have only certain posts go onto my new page and not all of the blog post posts.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes, you can do that by customizing the display post shortcode and adding it to the desired page. Then only certain posts will show there.
