Adding 'www' to my new domain

  Just bought domain mapping, and not sure how to add the ‘www’. Old forum post suggests doing so from the Settings/General page, but I don’t have anything related to the URL there to change.

  At wordpress.COM, you cannot have the “WWW” subdomain. WordPress strips that off all URLs here including custom domain names.

  Generally though everyone is moving away from it as it is sort of redundant and now passe as every thing is on the “World Wide Web.”

  Anyone that uses it with your domain name will be automatically redirected to your non-www domain name.

  The old “forum posts” were not from here. They refer to self-hosted wordpress installations and what can be done with those is entirely different.
