Admin, but not owner admin, and hence we cannot renew with WordPress.com

    Hi all.

    We have the below issue for a website that was created by a ex employee on WordPress.com who is still the owner admin and we are a admin also but clearly not the owner admin as we cannot renew.

    • “The domain X will expire in 7 days. It can be renewed by the user (Y)”
    • “These settings can be changed by the user Y”
    • “This product was purchased by a different WordPress.com account. To manage this product, log in to that account or contact the account owner.”

    As we know there are help pages on how to transfer the domain and the site/plan to our user admin account, but what is the process one needs to go through if the ex-employee refuses to do so?
    They are still the owner admin (or super admin for a lack of a better term) while we are just a admin.

    Can WordPress.com get involved?

    We would like to renew and have ownership of our domain on WordPress.com.
