Admin webpage access

I can’t access my webpage via the wp-admin extension.

  • Hi there,

What is the address of the site you are referring to? Not seeing a site under your account.

Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com-hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to help you out and you’ll want to seek help at these forums:

jazzssavy.com. I can pull the site up when I google, but when I add the extension wp-admin to access my site, it won’t open.

On second reading of your message, I may have the open-source software. The site was built years ago, but I could still get in before. Haven’t accessed the admin tools for some time since the pandemic started.

  • I checked and the domain jazzssavy.com isn’t currently registered anywhere. However, it was never registered with us. You will need to get in touch with the site host in order to see if you can hopefully retrieve your site content and register the domain again. It is available to be registered now.

Do you remember who you were hosted with?

It was an outside consultant that built the site for me. Not sure she’s still in the business.
If I am using the open-source software, I’m curious to know how I can still access my site when I google it. Any thoughts or ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Hmm…. is it jazzsavvy.com (not jazzssavy.com) yes?

From what I can see that is a site hosted on GoDaddy: https://gwhois.org/jazzsavvy.com+dns

We are not connected with GoDaddy since they use the open-source version of the WordPress platform, and we do not have access to anything on their end, so we’re not able to help further.

However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through your GoDaddy hosting account, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.

Hope that points you in the right direction!
