    I just completed completed my blog but it does not appear to be published. When I go into manage it shows up exactly as I want but when I google the topic and try to find it I can’t. The title is Job Loss Blog

    I am also new to wordpress.com but about Google updating, I have some knowledge. Google does get an RSS feed on new blogs but it takes awhile for it to check out the feed and send a robot to see what is going on with a new blog or website. The first feed it got when I signed up was just the default “Hello World” and that was December 28, 2007 and so far it hasn’t sent a robot back. To check to see if Google has your blog, put into its search box:
    site:yourblogid.wordpress.com
    replacing “yourblogid” with your actual id/url/address, for you I think that is milabaker as in
    site:milabaker.wordpress.com
    Waht you get when you do that is what Google currently has about your site which may not yet be anything or it may be the default. If Google has anything, you can check when it picked it up by clicking on the “Cached” under their description. I am waiting patiently for Google to send a robot to pick up all the changes I have made in the last month or so.

    To milabaker, we need to URL of your blog, starting with http. Then we can look at it and compare what we see with what we should see. You may have accidentally changed the time so the post publishes in the future, or you may have saved it as a Draft instead of a published Post.

    Google can take up to six weeks to index blogs.
