Administration Email Address

  I’ve tried to change the Administration Email Address, but after several tries and waiting over two weeks, I have yet to receive the confirmation email. The agency that built our site, and who currently has the admin email has not received it either. It is not in my junk folder, nor is it in my quarantine folder. Is there any other way to make this change happen?

  Can you share the URL of your website?

  I’m not seeing any WordPress.com sites associated with the user account you are posting from. This frequently means that you have a site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org, but hosted elsewhere.

  We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

  Our site URL is https://gardner-webb.edu/ and the Agency that built it is Up&Up, the email used is (email visible only to moderators and staff), which is currently the admin email and the one needing to be replaced by mine. The site is on WP Engine now, as we just migrated Monday from Ionos (formerly 1and1).

  I’m afraid that this is exactly as I described earlier, gardner-webb.edu is not a WordPress.com site but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org).

  Based on the nameserver info, it looks as though the site is hosted on your own servers. This is not unusual considering the fact that Gardner Webb is a university. I would encourage you to contact your IT department and see if they can give you any clues on how to gain access. I’m afraid there is nothing that we at WordPress.com can do to help.
