Administrator Access to WP website at www.viscomm.org

    In theory, I was given Administrator Access to WP website at http://www.viscomm.org by the person who owns the domain name and built the website. We are both affiliated with the annual Visual Communications Conference and she is passing the administration of the website to me. She used my work e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff) to provide me access. When I went through the login in process, even though I used my work e-mail address and new password, WordPress flipped to my old personal WordPress username and password. So I am stuck in a WP account that I have not used in 4 years and cannot get into the one I need to revise asap. I thing it would be wise to phone conference to fix this: [redacted by staff]. I tried calling for support but the dude hung up on me.

    Please don’t post personal contact information like phone numbers in the public forums. We don’t provide phone support on WordPress.com, and we don’t have any support phone number which you could have called, so whoever hung up on you wasn’t us.

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums as we don’t have any access to or control over your site.

    Support for the WordPress software you’re using is provided by the community of unpaid volunteers who make that software over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums

    Alternatively you can try contacting your hosting provider, Dreamhost.com, for help.
