Administrator invitation help

My boss sent me an email invitation to be an administrator for one of his blogs. When I click on the link in the email to register for a wordpress account, it thinks that I am him. When I click on the link to accept the invitation, it says “Whoops, you can’t use the activation key you’ve created for someone else.” Please help me figure out how to accept this invitation. Thanks!

Are you logged in under the account that he sent the invitation to, or a different account?
It is possible that he may have sent it to an email address unrelated to your current account.
