  Hello – please can I recover / pay for my old domain? Thanks!

  Hi there,

  That domain expired on 28 December 2018 and has already been removed from our system. It is currently in redemption with our registrar.

  It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption, on top of the regular renewal fee. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

  As soon as you confirm I’ll send you a link to make your payment. Once we receive your payment we email our domain provider to restore the domain, and they usually reply within 24 hours.

  Our domain provider has restored your domain, and it’s again loading your site.

  Please go to the Purchases page, click on the domain, and then click Add Payment Method:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  This will enable automatic renewal on your domain and should help prevent the domain going into redemption again next year.
