Ads, WordAds, and Domain Mapping
-
Hello, I really want to make money from my website by using an advertisement service. I have seen that WordPress does not allow ads though, so I was wondering what to do?
I saw that I could apply for WordAds, in which case I would have to pay a fee to map a domain which I already own just to apply for WordAds. But how can I ensure that I will be able to get WordAds and earn money from it?
Is it worth it to do that or should I change hosting to a place where I am free to have ads? If I change my hosting service, would I have to build my website from scratch or could I somehow run it from WordPress? PLEASE HELP!
Sorry I am clueless but I really want to be able to run ads on my website so I can make some money. THANK YOU in advance for anyone willing to help me.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Really low… my site doesn’t get much traffic (yet).
[Also I own the domain on godaddy, just adding that in there in case that changes anything]

http://skateorpoop.com – is hosted on Godaddy – you can sell ads for that site now if you want – you can also do Ad Sense
WordPress.COM does not allow user ads – WordPress.ORG installs (what you now have) can sell ads or whatever you want to do
But as raincoaster ask about above – you need a lot of traffic to make any money – raincoaster could give you a traffic requirement

There is really no point trying to monetize traffic if you are getting less than a thousand views a day. I speak from experience. You can apply for WordAds if you want, but fewer than a thousand hits a day means if you move off WP.com and try to run your own ads, what you make probably won’t pay for hosting.
