Advertisement Without my Knowledge Appeared on my Blog

  Dear WordPress,

  I recently noticed that WordPress has been advertising on my blog without my permission or knowledge. I have only noticed it within the last two days and usually if I have been operating off of Firefox and am reading a specific entry. I am not opposed to advertisements on my blog should I be compensated, however, seeing this ad on my blog I know that “WordAds is 100% optional and is designed for bloggers who would like to earn money from their blogs by showing high quality ads from brand advertisers. ” I would like to enter this pool of people but only with my permission. Please let me know why the ad has been posted to my blog, what I can do to advertise with compensation in the future, and how I can get the advertisement removed for the time being.
