I run a blog with hints and tips on how to save money when organising a wedding.
I want to recommend local/national business on this blog, what is the correct etiquette here? Should I approach them first, if they agree do I charge them? if so how much is acceptable? I want the public to book businesses through me and they receive a discount by mentioning budgetguide4brides. Sorry i’m new at this and a bit lost, but very inspired!!

A blog about how to save money when organizing a wedding sounds very useful.
Your questions are good ones, but they’re also not WordPress.com-related, so you may want to find a different kind of forum to post your question on, one that is more business-oriented.
Also keep in mind that we don’t allow advertising on WordPress.com, so you would not be able to charge businesses for being listed on your site. You can learn more about our avertising policies here.

Thanks, so I need to revert back to .org then, rather than.com. Will get my site changed back I think, whole point is to eventually turn my hobby into a career.
