Affilate meta tag upload on root

    Add a tag to your home page (proving that you have access to the source files). To use this method, you must be able to edit the HTML code of your site’s pages.

    Hi there, what’s the address of the site you need help with?

    Here on WordPress.com it’s not possible to add a meta tag to the root files on our websites. We do not have access to it. Search engine verification uses a different utility built in to our dashboard for this reason.

    Ask your affiliate if they provide a different method of verifying.
