[AGAIN] Can’t access paid content, even though I’m a paid subscriber

I am the same OP as the issue linked below, just with a different account from a different email address.
I have an active paid subscription to https://therabidcapitalist.com/. I see the active subscription under my account’s ‘Purchases’ page, and it is set to auto-renew. When I try to access the paid subscriber content, it tells me I am only a free subscriber. I was able to access this paid content, up until about a few days ago.

This is incredibly frustrating, as it has happened twice now in the middle of my active subscription, with separate email addresses / accounts. Other users have experienced this issue as well, as shown in the forum post linked below.

It does not matter what browser I use, or what device I use. I no longer can access paid content that was 1. delivered to my email as a newsletter, and 2. on the website itself linked above. Clearing cache/history/cookies/etc. does not help either. Hoping to receive help for this issue. It is extremely frustrating that there is no direct support contact / chat feature to help with this issue.

@supernovia ; @staff-totoro ; @staff-doublebassd tagging you three as you three helped troubleshoot the issue the other month (linked in original post). Hoping to get this resolved…

    Hi there,

Sorry that we did not see this until now. When you reply (to check in on your post) before you have heard from staff, as it has the effect of sending it to the back of our queue since we work from oldest to newest.

When did your access to the site stop working? Was it over a month or more? Or a very recent change?

If you try logging in to your WordPress.com account using a different browser (like Firefox) or on a different device like a smartphone are you able to view subscriber content.

    Thanks for the additional info!

thank you for clarifying the information regarding the support queue. The access to the site stopped on Nov. 12th. No matter what browser or device I’m using, I can’t access the paid content and it is no longer being delivered to my email. Only the free content is available / being delivered to my email.

Thanks for clarifying – that helps! Looking at the email delivery logs for your email address, you should have received a new post email for the paid-only post with the subject line “[New post] The Rabid Capitalist’s Report Card: The Big Point” and I also see the premium post in your Reader page as well. Can you check your email for that post? Since you use Gmail you can search for that subject line to find it in case Gmail auto-triaged it into their Category views which can skip your inbox.

Can you also try this direct link to that post on the website and let us know if you can access it? If not, please take a screenshot of the screen you see and paste it in your reply here using the /image block.

Let us know how it goes! Thanks!

Thank you for your help here. “The Big Point” posts are available for all subscribers (free and paid). I get those to my inbox and I can access them on my reader page. The post published to this site “The Rabid Capitalist’s Report Card” (it does not have “The Big Point”) is premium content and I can’t access it even though I pay for the subscription. I’ve attached an image below of what I see on my reader page, and the screen I see in the link directly to that post.

    Hey there,

Thank you for clarifying. It looks like this post and others are only accessible with the Newsletter Tier subscription from therabidcapitalist.com and your subscription is the Monthly Subscription. You will need to reach out to the author directly as this appears to be an issue with their payment tier setup and not WordPress itself.

Hope this helps, and best of luck!
