Aligning content area below window

  Hi,

  I have been struggling with this for a while so thought I’d try reaching out here to see if anyone could help me.

  I have my homepage landing with an image covering the entire window/screen. It responds fine and adjusts to the size you’re at. I have some text/logo that overlays this on a slideshow which also works fine on different screens.

  What I have a problem with is the alignment of the content below.

  I have added this code to ‘fool’ it into moving it further down, so it’s not halfway through the masthead/background.

  body.not-mobile.is-front-page #content-wrap {margin-top: 480px}

  However this is obviously quite crude, as it works fine at larger resolution but when on smaller screens/tablets, I have a large white space below the masthead (where I’d just like content).

  Ideally I’d just like to be able to keep it all consistent. Say a 100px margin below the masthead, and then have the content (or menu, if I use one), align to that position whatever the screen size.

  Does that make sense?

  I don’t know if I’m allowed to link on here so I haven’t, but if that’s useful please let me know. The blog is not yet complete.

  Hi @rharrisimages, I see a WordPress.com site associated with your username, but it doesn’t look like it has ever been used. I also see a self-hosted WordPress site and when I try to go to that I get a notice that the site is being worked on.

  For self-hosted WordPress sites, I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org Themes and Templates forum. The forum people will need to know, at the very least which theme you are using, and it would be very good to be able to look at your actual site since they can’t be sure what customizations you have done.
