All files did not get exported
-
Hi. I am trying to export all files from my wordpress.com blog https://travellingthroughwords.wordpress.com/ to the new site http://travellingthroughwords.com/ . I manually imported the file but all files did not get exported. For example, my posts from 2016 and 2017 got exported but not of 2018 to 2020. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
For example, my posts from 2016 and 2017 got exported but not of 2018 to 2020.
Did you select the Full Site option when exporting at My Site ->Tools ->Export? If so, all your posts did export.
Did you get a single .xml file, or a .zip folder containing more than one file? If you got a .zip folder, you need to import each .xml file in that folder separately to the new site to import all of your content.

Hi. yes, I selected ‘export all’. I got a zip folder containing only one .XML file that I have imported. I have run this a few times and still, the rest of my posts have not gotten imported. Now it keeps on showing 503 Service Unavailable. Please help.

Hm, that’s actually a relatively low amount of content, there should be no trouble importing it.
And, when I generate an export, I get 1 file with all of your content.
Is the 503 on http://travellingthroughwords.com/ ? If so, it sounds like something is conflicting or struggling with this relatively small import.
Try deactivating all plugins except the import plugin, and run the import again. It won’t import duplicate entries, and should pick up what it missed.

All done!
I disabled the plugins and ran the import a few times and it’s done now.
Thanks!
