All media disappeared on my site after an update – HELP!

I did the WP update and then all of my media disappeared. I have a slideshow on my home page and it’s gone. My pictures every where are gone too. Not sure what happened and how to fix. I tried going back to an older version but that didn’t work either. I tried deactivating all my plugins and adding them back one at a time and that didn’t work either. I’m freaking out. Please help.

Also, where my photos and layout (templates) were on one page it has a “loading” circle continually going. This is so strange.

Just got an email from WP that said that they found a critical error with my theme, Enfold when it did the new update.
This happened with the update last time and Enfold didn’t help since the creator of the site had the purchase code and I just update it. I’ve tried connecting with the creator but haven’t been able to get a response. It wasn’t a huge deal before so I just worked around it and re-created a page.
Now, my Home page and another super important page is affected and I can’t update anything. In edit mode I just see “loading” circles in the boxes. Any ideas now to fix this? Thanks for any help you can provide. -

It sounds like you are referring to a self-hosted WordPress.org one.
