Alltop Error due to error in WordPress RSS feed.

  I received a notice from Alltop that they could not take the link from my feed due to an RSS error.
  My RSS feed is: http://jaredhendler.com/feed/
  I was asked to use feed validator and this is the error I received: http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fjaredhendler.com%2Ffeed%2F

  HI Jared,

  Thank you for the report. I have contacted Alltop support about this. The feed looks valid even with the warning, but it is being rejected. I will let you know once I hear back.

  Hi Jared,

  The support team at Alltop replied and said that your feed was not rejected because of an error, but that your submission was rejected because it had previously been accepted.

  I got an error on another submission and they asked me to check with feed validator which is what showed the error.

  Are you submitting the feed for another site?

  The support team at Alltop said that http://jaredhendler.com/feed/ has already been accepted, so it should not be submitted again. If you submit it multiple times it will get an error. The feed is valid (there is a warning, but that wouldn’t be the reason for the rejection).

  Hi Jared!

  So I received more clarification about that error from Alltop support. They mentioned that the rejection letter does not state why an application is not accepted, but instead offers possible reasons. An error in the feed is just a possible reason, but not always the reason.

  After further investigation the feed is OK and passes the Feed Validator test. The warning that Feed Validator gives is a minor warning as I mentioned as well and this would not cause a rejection.

  The reason is was rejected was because the feed had already been accepted in the past.

  Since it has already been accepted it does not need to be accepted twice. Please contact their support if you have any further questions.
