Am I able to change a domain name I already purchased, or will I need to purchase a new one?

  My current domain is maggiecureweddings.com. I would like to change it to maggiejdesign.com. How do I change it?
  I would also like to change my username from authenticandbabylove to maggiejdesign.

  Also, I have purchased the Premium theme Genesis from Studiopress and need help installing it.

  When you register a new domain, you’re purchasing that exact domain name to use with your site. If you’d like to use a different domain name, you’ll need to register it as a new domain and purchase it separately.

  However, since you just registered maggiecureweddings.com, I can cancel and refund it for you if you don’t want it at all. (Please note that cancelling a domain means giving up ownership of it completely, and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to register it again here or elsewhere. So only cancel it if you’re sure you don’t want to use it.) Would you like me to go ahead and cancel maggiecureweddings.com for you?

  I would also like to change my username from authenticandbabylove to maggiejdesign.

  You can follow our guide to Change Your Username to do that. You can get started with the process from your account settings page.

  Please read all the instructions and warnings carefully — once you change your username there’s no way to go back to using the old username again.

  Themes purchased elsewhere can’t be uploaded to sites hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to and installed on self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about WordPress.com v. WordPress.org if you’re curious about that.

  Sure thing! I cancelled maggiecureweddings.com and issued a full refund. If you’d still like to use the domain maggiejdesign.com, you can register it as a new domain from the Domains page.
