Am I using the wrong Posterous Import plug-in? Is there another one?
-
I am trying to import my Posterous blog. I found your support page with instructions, but when I enabled the Posterous Import plug-in, it looked different. It asked for my log-in info instead of giving a link to upload the xml file. I tried to log-in and clicked import and after several hours still nothing has happened. I don’t have a very big Posterous blog so this makes no sense.
Can you help me? Is there another plug-in that I should be using? I don’t see it.

Hi there, you don’t need to enable any import plugin if you’re importing from Posterous into a WordPress.com site – the importer is built right in.
Would you mind providing a link to the site into which you’re trying to do the import so I can confirm whether it’s a WordPress.com site?

Thanks, Kathryn.
The site is ciannastewart.com. I’m hosting the site on LaughingSquid, so perhaps that’s the issue?

Thanks for confirming that you’re running the self-hosted version of WordPress. You can get help with self-hosted installations over at the WordPress.org support forums:
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
